Look for the rule before the answer
Reasoning questions reward careful observation. When you meet a number series, statement, or classification, pause to describe the relationship in plain language before you choose an option.
Separate facts from assumptions
Many reasoning mistakes come from adding information that was never given. Stay close to the exact wording. Ask what must follow, what could follow, and what does not follow at all.
Explain the path in your own words
After solving a question, say why the answer fits. If you cannot explain the rule simply, revisit the problem. This turns an answer into a reusable way of thinking.
Learning note: a wrong answer is useful when it helps you identify the assumption or pattern you missed.
